In 2024, Sacred Guardian Singa made history as the first Singaporean tokusatsu hero to participate in the annual Japan Local Hero Festival — one of Japan’s most celebrated gatherings of regional superhero characters from across the country.
tokuAsia’s Aydeel represented the team at the festival, proudly flying the Singapore flag among Japan’s finest local heroes. Being invited to participate was a tremendous honour, and a significant milestone not just for Sacred Guardian Singa, but for Singapore’s growing presence in the tokusatsu genre.
“It was humbling and exciting to stand alongside heroes from across Japan,” said Aydeel. “We hope this is just the beginning of Sacred Guardian Singa’s journey on the international stage.”
Sacred Guardian Singa continues to grow as Southeast Asia’s premier tokusatsu superhero, rooted in the culture, history and heritage of Singapore.
